ISUTAMI SW-AJ adjustment linear bearings, also known as SW-AJ adjustment linear ball bearings or SW-AJ adjustment linear bushing bearings. SW is the imperial series, AJ is short for adjustment, mainly used in the markets of the UK and other British Commonwealth of Nations.

The bushing and steel ball of SW-AJ adjustment linear bearing is made of high carbon bearing steel, and the ball retainer is made of metal steel, stainless steel or POM material. The retaining ring , also called sealing ring, usually indicated by U or P, is made of NBR material. The ball retainer is mounted inside the bushing with the steel balls, and sealed from one or both sides of the bushing by sealing ring.

Adjustment Linear Bearing SW-AJ Features

The outer bushing surface of SW-AJ adjustment linear bearing has a slotted slit (h), and two outer retaining grooves for fixing the bearing bushing when it is installed into the corresponding housing. The number of ball rows for SW-AJ inch series slotted linear bearings supplied by ISUTAMI increases between 4 and 6 columns depending on the increase of bearing size. Among them, the number of ball rows for SW16AJ steel retainer is 5 columns, while the number of rows for POM retainers is 6 columns;

The inner diameter (dr) range and tolerance, outer diameter (D) range and tolerance, length (L) range and tolerance, maximum radial eccentricity, basic dynamic load rating (C) range, basic static load rating (Co) range, etc., are all consistent with SW standard linear bearings. (Specific parameters are shown in the table)

The biggest difference between SW-AJ adjustment linear bearing and SW standard linear bearing is that the former bushing is not completely closed, which facilitates installation and adjustment during assembly.

The SW-AJ adjustment linear bearing is matched with an adjustable linear bearing housing and a linear shaft of corresponding diameter.

Unlike ordinary ball bearings, the basic dynamic load rating of SW-AJ series linear bearings is less than the basic static load rating, and this difference is significantly widened as the size increases.

Different from the plastic linear bearing, the metal SW-AJ adjustment linear bearing movement principle is rolling friction, the point contact between the bushing and the shaft through steel balls. Steel ball rotates with very small frictional resistance, so that high-precision smooth motion can be obtained, which is suitable for low-load and high-speed motion systems. In addition, rotational motion is not suitable for the linear bearing structure.

Please be aware that any drop or knock of the linear bushing may cause damage. When it is impacted, the function may be damaged even if the appearance does not appear to be. Please note any decomposition of the linear bearing may result in the entry of foreign matter or adversely affect the assembly accuracy.
