Ball Bearings 6300 Series Features

Bearing alloy is an alloy of tin, lead, antimony and copper. It is based on tin or lead.Hard grains are resistant to wear while soft substrates increase the plasticity of the material.The elastic modulus and elastic limit of bearing alloy are very low. Among all bearing materials, it has the best embedded property and friction compliance, which is easy to be worn with the journal, and it is not easy to be bitten with the journal.However, the strength of the bearing alloy is very low. Bearing bushing cannot be made separately, but only attached to bronze, steel or cast iron bearing bushing for bearing lining.Bearing alloys are suitable for heavy duty, medium and high speed applications and are more expensive.Copper alloy has higher strength, better anti-friction and wear resistance.

Bronze, which has better properties than brass, is the most commonly used material.There are several kinds of bronze, such as tin bronze, lead bronze and aluminum bronze.But tin bronze has higher hardness than bearing alloy, poor wear and imbedding, and is suitable for heavy duty and medium speed.Lead bronze has strong adhesion resistance and is suitable for high speed and heavy load bearing.Aluminum bronze has high strength and hardness, poor adhesion resistance and is suitable for low speed and heavy load bearing.Aluminum base bearing alloys have good corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength and friction properties.These qualities allow the aluminum base alloy to replace the more expensive bearing alloy and bronze in some areas.Aluminum base alloy can be made into single metal parts (such as shaft sleeve, bearing, etc.), or bimetal parts. The bimetal bearing shell USES aluminum base alloy as bearing lining and steel as backing.Common grey iron or wear - resistant grey iron or ductile iron with nickel, chromium, titanium or other alloys can be used as bearing materials.The flake or spherical graphite in this kind of material can form a layer of lubricating graphite after being covered on the surface of the material, so it has certain anti-friction and wear resistance.In addition, graphite can absorb hydrocarbons, which is helpful to improve the boundary lubrication property. Therefore, when using gray cast iron as bearing material, lubricating oil should be added.Due to its brittleness and poor runnability, cast iron is only suitable for low speed and light load.There are also porous metal materials, non-metal materials and so on.
