ISUTAMI SMI ball screw with single inner circulation cylindrical nut, converts rotary motion into linear motion with minimal friction. It consists of a ball screw and a non-flanged nut with recirculating ball bearings. The interface between the ball screw and the cylinder nut is made by ball bearings, which are rolled in a matching spherical shape. The threaded shaft provides a matching helical raceway for the ball bearings, and the balls roll between the slots to provide the only contact between the nut and the screw. For rolling elements, the ball screw drive has a very low coefficient of friction and is typically greater than 90% efficiency, in addition to being able to apply or withstand high thrust loads. The transmitted force is distributed over a large number of ball bearings, providing a lower relative load relative to each ball. They have tight tolerances and are therefore suitable for situations where high precision is required.

Ball Screw with Single Nut Cylindrical Inner Circulation SMI-2 Features

The ball nut determines the load and life of the ball screw assembly. The ratio of the number of threads in the ball nut circuit to the number of threads on the ball screw determines the extent to which the ball nut will reach fatigue failure (wear) faster than the ball screw.

SMI series ball screw is made by cold rolled steel rolling process, the accuracy is C7 level, any 300 pitch error is less than 0.05mm, axial clearance is 0-0.05mm. The nominal diameter (D) of the lead screw is 16-40mm, and the lead (thread pitch) range is 5mm. The inner loops of the steel ball matched with  ball screw is 3 or 4, and the ball diameter inside the nut is 3.175mm. The overall length of the cylinder nut (L1) is 34-45m.

The SMI ball screw and nut combination is commonly used in automotive power conversion units, machine tools, injection molding machines, robotics and precision assembly equipment. High-precision ball screws are used in steppers for semiconductor manufacturing, and they are also integrated into actuator mechanisms of computer-controlled self-entertainment devices.
