At the same time, the bearing itself ACTS as a catalyst in this oxidation reaction.Therefore, the problem of oxidation should also be considered when calculating the time interval of grease replenishment in bearings.Many greases now have antioxidant additives.That doesn't mean it won't oxidize.Bearing operation itself, the temperature will change, which leads to the grease base oil constantly in and out of the thickener, at the same time every time the base oil back, not necessarily completely back.Between so long, the performance of grease will change, can not meet the lubrication, so to re-apply lubrication.Color may change in greases with insufficient base oils.In addition, if the temperature is abnormal, the performance of the oil also changes a lot, so, there will be discoloration.If the temperature is very high, it will carbonize.It gets darker.During bearing operation, impurities are mixed into the inside of the grease.This kind of impurity may be the bearing itself peeling, may also be external entry.It could be a solid, it could be a liquid, and all of that affects the properties of the grease.Tight fit and small clearance lead to oil discoloration, increase of bearing load area and heating, leading to oil denaturation and oil color change.There is a problem with the fit of the bearing chamber. The internal clearance is too small and the friction is too large to be realized by tightening fit.Bearing grease color to judge the situation, different grease internal additives, different operating conditions, suitable for different temperature range, there can be no unified standard.Even the same type of grease may be formulated slightly differently depending on the batch being introduced.
