GEZ-ET-2RS Radial Spherical Plain Bearings Features

After heat treatment, the common quality defects of spherical plain bearing are as follows: quenching microstructure is overheated, underheated, quenching crack, hardness is not enough, heat treatment variation, surface decarbonization, soft spot.The microstructure overheating after quenching can be observed from the rough surface of the bearing parts.But to accurately determine the degree of overheating it is necessary to look at the microstructure.If the coarse needle-like martensite appears in the quenching structure of GCR15, it is considered as the quenching superheated structure.The cause may be the overall overheating caused by too high quenching heating temperature or too long heating temperature time;It may also be due to severe banded carbides in the original tissues, which form local martensite spicules in the low carbon zone between the two zones, resulting in local overheating.The residual austenite in the superheated tissue increased and the size stability decreased.Because the quenching structure is too hot, the steel crystal is thick, will cause the toughness of the parts to drop, resistance performance to drop, the life of the joint bearing is also reduced.Excessive heat can even cause quenching cracks.Low quenching temperature or poor cooling will produce more than the standard in the microstructure of the torturite, known as the underheat tissue, it makes the hardness drop, wear resistance sharply reduced, affecting the life of the rotary support bearing.The crack caused by internal stress during quenching and cooling is called quenching crack.The reason for this crack is that the quenching heating temperature is too high or the cooling is too fast.When the thermal stress and the metal mass volume change, the microstructure stress is greater than the fracture strength of steel.The original defects on the working surface or internal defects of the steel form stress concentration during quenching;Severe surface decarbonization and carbide segregation, insufficient fire or timely tempering after quenching of parts, excessive cold stamping stress caused by previous processes, forging and folding, deep turning tool marks, sharp edges and corners of oil hooks, etc.
