ISUTAMI rubber cartridge bearing, also known as ISUTAMI rubber cartridge mounted bearing, consists of a rubber cushion and a ball bearing, generally used together with a bearing housing. The ball bearing is made of bearing steel. Contact seals on both sides of the bearing keep out contaminants, such as dirt and grime, and hold in a lubricant applied at manufacture. The bearing is encased in rubber for reduced vibration and noise, and it has an extended inner ring on one side for extra shaft support. The rubber cartridge bearing units are suitable for use in ventilation, heating and air conditioning equipment. In addition, mounted bearings support shafts in a variety of mounting configurations (flange block, hanger, pillow block, and take-up block), and are used in a range of applications from light duty shaft guidance on conveyors to road building equipment and crushers. The inner ring of the bearing usually has an eccentric collar locking ring or a set screw lock. The eccentric locking ring is mounted on one extending side of the inner ring, and the collar can be locked on the shaft. The eccentric locking collar unit provides locking for one-way applications; Set screw holes are in the extension of the inner ring, the set screw unit has two fixing screws 120° apart in the inner ring for mounting the shaft. The bearing is a fixed type for supporting radial and axial loads and axially positioning the shaft relative to the housing.
