ISUTAMI SMA standard linear bearing pillow block, also known as SMA standard linear bearing unit, SMA standard linear slide unit or SMA standard linear case housing, is a linear motion product for Asian market. It consists of a closed standard aluminum housing with 4 fixing holes and a matching LM standard linear bearing. The unit has two circlips. There are also two rubber seals (UU) at both ends of the linear bearing, to prevent debris or contamination of the ball bearings. In addition, the aluminum casing is small and light, and has high corrosion resistance.

SMA standard linear pillow block is a closed, single length Asian metric version that is fitted with an LM standard linear bearing. The closed bearing design allows for a lower cost installation by using end supported shafts. The advantages of the bushing include less tilt or friction, which results in less wear and better machining results.

SMA Linear Bearing Pillow Block Features

Aluminum housing size range: length (L) range is 30-122mm; width (W) range is 34-132mm; height (F) range is 22-144mm; minimum size: SMA8 combination size is 30*34*22mm, maximum size: SMA60 combination size is 122*132*144mm and the product size error is ±0.02mm. These data are the same as the SMA-AJ adjustment linear pillow block. The aluminum housing has four CNC drilled, tapped, and countersunk holes of the same size from M4 to M12, which can be easily and safely mounted to almost any system.

A typical CNC system consists of a linear shaft of matching diameter, ranging from 8 to 60 mm in diameter, mounted on both ends of the shaft by two end supports, and a linear bearing pillow block with linear bearings running along the shaft. Most CNC machines have two such components mounted side-by-side, using a case as a stand to support the mobile platform. The case can be mounted from above or below, making it easy to install into the intended system. Positioning and accuracy enhancement is facilitated by being used as a side aspect of the datum. The extruded aluminum housing is subjected to sufficient extrusion and heat treatment to create a compact, lightweight and precision product.
