The pressure cannot be transmitted through the rolling element, because it will cause indentation on the working surface of the joint bearing, affecting the normal operation of the joint bearing and even damage the joint bearing. Parts such as cages, seals, and dust caps of joint bearings are easily deformed, and the pressure to install or remove the joint bearings cannot be applied to these parts.
(1) The inner ring of the joint bearing is tightly fitted with the shaft, and the outer ring and the housing are loosely fitted. The joint bearing can be press-fitted on the joint bearing by a press, and then the shaft is assembled into the casing together with the joint bearing. A press-fit sleeve (copper or soft steel) of a soft metal material is placed on the end face of the joint bearing during press fitting. The inner diameter of the fitting sleeve should be slightly larger than the diameter of the journal, and the outer diameter should be smaller than the diameter of the flange of the inner diameter of the joint bearing to avoid pressing on the cage. A large number of handles can be added to the sleeve when installing the joint bearing in large quantities.
The joint bearing should be installed so that the joint bearing hole and the center line of the shaft coincide. The joint bearing is not only difficult to install relative to the shaft skew, but also causes indentation, journal bending and even breakage of the inner ring of the joint bearing. (2) The outer ring of the joint bearing is tightly matched with the hole of the casing, and the inner ring and the shaft are loosely fitted, and the joint bearing can be first pressed into the casing, and the outer diameter of the assembling sleeve should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the casing hole. .
(3) The inner ring of the joint bearing and the shaft, the outer ring and the housing hole are tightly fitted, and the end surface of the assembly sleeve should be made into a ring that can simultaneously press the end surface of the inner ring of the joint bearing, or a disc and an assembly sleeve The pressure is transmitted to the inner and outer rings at the same time, and the joint bearing is pressed into the shaft and the casing. This method of installation is particularly suitable for the installation of centripetal spherical plain bearings that can be self-aligning.
(4) Heating installation, the force required to install the joint bearing is related to the size of the joint bearing and the amount of interference. For medium and large joint bearings with large interference, the hot-packing method is commonly used. Before hot charging, put the joint bearing or the separable joint bearing ring into the fuel tank or special heater and heat it evenly to 80~100 °C (not exceeding 100 °C). Hot-fit joint bearings require skilled operation skills. When the joint bearing is removed from the heating tank or the heater, immediately wipe off the oil and attachment on the surface of the joint bearing with a clean cloth (not cotton yarn), and then put it in front of the mating surface, in one operation The joint bearing is pushed to the position against the shoulder. Always tighten during the cooling process or tap the joint bearing with a small hammer through the fitting sleeve to make it tight. Slightly rotate the joint bearing during installation to prevent the installation from tilting or jamming.
When the outer ring of the joint bearing and the hole of the housing are tightly fitted, the housing can be heated and then loaded into the joint bearing. In particular, in the case of tight fitting of a joint bearing made of light metal, the joint surface of the joint bearing may be damaged by press-in of the outer ring of the joint bearing, and the joint bearing seat should be heated at this time.
